DESCRIPTION:Take PART (Portland Anti-Racism Team) has invited me to talk about my mother’s family experience being incarcerated during World War II for no crime beyond being of Japanese ancestry. \nDuring the talk I will be sharing family photos and historical notes\, and will include video clips of talks mom (who turns 90 y.o. this year) has given in the past. \nI warmly invite you to join the presentation live\, but if you cannot\, a recording will be published afterwards. \nMore information and free registration can be found on the Take PART website. \nTo attend\, you must register (for free) to obtain the Zoom link to join. \n\nTake PART is the Portland Anti-Racism Team\, a group whose mission is to confront \nracism and engage in dismantling the systems that continue racial inequality. This is their website. \nI am very impressed with their talks and presentations which I find thought provoking\, respectful\, and very enlightening. Past presentations can be viewed online here.
